@Sarah I know Alece through a program I'm in called Backstage Leadership. She's really good friends with the guy who started the program, Greg Darley. As for Adrienne, I spent two months in the Soviet Union with her husband back in 91' and then a month with both of them in Venezuela three years later.

@Kathleen Thank you. It's funny you mentioned the smell in the air. I took mental notice of that while on a hike to the top of Mt. Hermon... on a shelf someday - ABSOLUTELY! God's really in charge of that bit.

@Mary I like the idea of surprising, twisting ways. That sounds like exciting and faith filled adventure to me! Tenacious I will be.

It was good to see you there, to watch you interact and love people well. This writing journey, no matter how long you've been on it, is excruciating and amazing all at once. Humbling yet affirming. Painful yet filling. It's the tenacious who stay.

And to Sarah: I do believe God has big things in store, even as He hones the vision for you. And I believe it's bigger than you've seen it. Keep your eyes wide open.

Angus, continue to be amazed at what God is doing, and don't shortsight yourself in this endeavor. He has plans for you in surprising, twisting ways.

It was good to see you honored/awarded.

Humble isn't thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of yourself less. I found the old timers who have been there for many years the kindest, warmest, most humble people.

My first time also, but I grew up in those Santa Cruz Mts. :) Isn't the scent

unique? Write on. We'll be seeing it with a cover on some shelf someday.

absolutely.

i usually come into something with a prejudgment. it's difficult not to, i think. i believe it's what you do with the reality check that counts, though.

mount hermon was amazing for me this year even though i'm in the exact same place i was 12 months ago. or at least i feel like it.

oh, by the way...how do you know alece from grit and glory? she's my homey, or homie or how do you spell HOME - EE. (If i can't spell it i shouldn't be saying it)
